Following the successful Global Mobility event held earlier this year on 30 June, Xpatweb has been requested by its clients and other corporates to host this half-day catch up, which will be curated by several key industry stakeholders.
The aim of this event is to bring together like-minded professionals to discuss variety of topics, to promote knowledge and sharing of best practice, to allow a platform for collaboration – and to provoke discussions about the ongoing difficulties that entities face – as well as to create essential relationships.

Jeremy Maggs is a media expert with almost four decades of experience in television, radio, and print. He most recently anchored eNCA’s daily lunchtime news programme. Jeremy is a renowned public speaker, a popular and funny MC, and an author.
He also has a thriving media training and coaching firm with a long roster of blue-chip clientele. He recently finished his second book, My Final Answer. It is a memoir of his life and experiences in the media, published by Pan McMillan.
The Department of Employment and Labour will unpack their role in ensuring business comply fully with the requirements dictated by government when employing resources on visas and permits.
Mr Sibayi has over 20 years of experience in the United Kingdom, based at the High Commission at Trafalgar Square, he is one of the most respected and recognised officials for service to his country and provided valuable insight at the previous conference.
Mr Sibayi will again call in from the United Kingdom and give us an update from his personal perspective. Specific areas covered will include facilitating work visa applications for skilled expatriates to South Africa and the latest after the central adjudication has been cancelled.
Xpatweb has been custodian of the annual Critical Skills Survey for 6 years providing valuable inputs to various Government Departments throughout the Consultation process including being Gazetted as part of the OIHD list and the Technical Report leading to the latest Critical Skills list released earlier this year.
Marisa will share an overview of the survey results over the last 5 years as well as provide interim insights on the responses received thus far for their biggest survey yet in 2022, following the release of the new list and some valuable new questions added to the survey
Mr Mbhele’s directorate is responsible for the adjudication and issuance of temporary residence visas for corporates as well as the drafting and publishing of the Critical Skills List in consultation with the Department of Higher Education and Training, the Department of Labour, and relevant stakeholders.
Mr Mbhele will be giving an update on the latest processes and systems in the Department, 1 month after the reversal of the centralised adjudication system. He will also share insight on the new Critical Skills List and its implementation.
Ralitza is the project lead for TCSAS’ Global Mobility Team, supervising and coordinating the tax and immigration assistance provided to expatriates in various countries. Ralitza has built and maintained trusted relationships with the tax and immigration teams of best-in-market independent firms based globally. With the valuable insights gained, she has guided the development of a holistic mobility dashboard to further refine the “expatriate experience”.
Ralitza will be presenting a best practice case study, providing a bird’s eye overview of the International Mobility Life Cycle. The presentation will highlight common mistakes, the value of proactive insights to the business, and feature our brand-new mobility dashboard, combining tax and immigration insights for each assignee.
Media personality and broadcaster, Aubrey Masango, will facilitate a panel discussion unpacking Pertinent Matters of Immigration Policy. Aubrey Masango is popularly known for presenting The Aubrey Masango Show on Radio 702. He recently interviewed the Minister of the Department of Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, and Xpatweb’s Marisa Jacobs to discuss the topical change on ZEP permits and the solutions available.
