The Department of Home Affairs presented on 25 April the proposed new Trusted Employer Scheme (TES) that is set to revamp the current Corporate Accounts Unit.

The TES aims to serve employers who meet specific criteria with a more certain and simplified route to secure visas. Any employers registered, will benefit from eased requirements where the administrative burden and responsibility is placed on the employer rather than the state with heavy sanctions for non-compliance.

The Department has requested inputs on the proposed structure of the TES before they open registration to employers.
