General Work Visa
A General Work Visa may be issued to any foreign national who intends to take up employment in South Africa on the basis of a firm offer of employment. The amendment of the Immigration Act in 2014, saw the introduction of a Department of Labour Certificate process for those who wish to apply for a General Work Visa and this includes applications for renewals.
Permanent Residency Permit
Law change to discontinue Permanent Residency is imminent. If you are interested in applying, now is the time. Applications for permanent residency in South Africa are considered in terms of Section 26 (Direct Residency Permits) and Section 27 (Residency-on-Other-Grounds Permits) of the Immigration Act 2002 (Act No 13 of 2002) and read with Regulation 33 of the Immigration Regulations.
Intra-Company Tranfer Visa
Employees of multi-national organisations with a branch or affiliate company in South Africa may apply for an Intra-Company Transfer Work Visa. These candidates are then transferred to the South African branch for period of up to 4 years at a time. Candidates must have been employed by the foreign entity for a period of no less than six (6) months and the application must be submitted in the candidates’ home country or country of temporary residence.
Spousal Visa
As the spouse of a work visa holder you are required in law to apply for a visitor visa in terms of section 10(A) read together with section 11(1)(a) of the Immigration Act of 2002, as amended. This visa allows you to lawfully reside with your spouse while he/she is on work assignment in South Africa..
Study Visa
A study visa allows the holder to reside in the Republic whilst studying at a South African institution of primary, secondary or tertiary education.Inter-alia with the application the candidate must be accepted by a school or tertiary education provider in writing by providing a letter of acceptance which must be on the school’s letterhead and signed by or on behalf of the registrar or principal.
Business Visa
Business visas may be issued to those who wish to obtain temporary and/or permanent residency in South Africa whilst setting up and running their own business.
