Xpatweb has released its 2020/21 Critical Skills Survey Report. “The report data is most used by stakeholders who influence policies around critical skills and the import of foreign professionals,” says Marisa Jacobs, the firm’s MD.
Xpatweb has published its Critical Skills list for 2021, detailing the jobs which are short supply in South Africa and what government and business need to do to attract skilled professionals.
Xpatweb’s Critical Skills Survey 2020/21 highlights the most in demand scarce skills the country is facing, which has led to businesses seeking to recruit talent from across the globe.
According to Marisa Jacobs, Managing Director of Xpatweb, certain artisan skills have been left off the recently gazetted draft Critical Skills List.“This should be cause for concern for affected organisations and we encourage them to review the list urgently,” she says.
